I have a Word Document (.docX) with comments on it and I need to delete them but don't seem to be able to do so. If I right-click a comment the Delete Comment option is disabled and when I go to the Review tab, the Delete-option (in the Comments section) is disabled as well. And if I click Delete All Comments in Document nothing happens.
Afterwards I tried the same thing but with Track Changes disabled and all Changes accepted but the issue continues. I have done some research and a lot of results said that maybe I can't delete them because someone else wrote them. But that can't be the case because I was already able to delete comments before. Does anyone know why I can't delete them and what I should do to be able to do so? EDIT: I just checked a previous version of the document and the comments I can't delete now are 'impossible' to delete there as well.
To delete all comments, click the Delete drop-down arrow and select Delete All Comments in Document. Comparing documents If you edit a document without tracking changes, it's still possible to use reviewing features such as Accept and Reject.
So there's nothing that I did that caused for me to be unable to remove those comments.

You can delete all comments in a Word document at once. Why you would want to do that under normal circumstances is another matter, but perhaps, like me, you’re doing some testing on an existing document and you want to accept all track changes and delete all comments so that you’ve got a ‘clean’ copy to work on. BEWARE: Deleting all comments does exactly that — it deletes them.
As soon as you save the document, those comments are gone, so if you’re hesitant about taking this action, make a copy of the document first and work on the copy. Here’s how to delete all comments at once in Word 2007 and later:.
Go to the Review tab Comments group. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of Delete. Select Delete All Comments in Document.
